Requirements

What to Build

Create an innovative project, product, business, or idea that would help spread awareness about financial literacy and economics in the community.

This Hackathon is open-ended and beginner-friendly hackathon and allows submissions covering the wide range of economic or financial topics. We also allow submissions in all mediums and different stages of development.

What to Submit

A YouTube video or Google Drive video describing your project (1-2 Minutes Recommended, 5 Minutes Maximum) and a document of the source program (any medium). Designs, prototypes, and submissions are permitted. See criteria for more information.

Judging Criteria

  • Relevancy
    How well does the project address the theme of economics and financial literacy and its fusion with code? Does it also include an element of educating others on the topic?
  • Technical Execution
    How well is the project built? Does it demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency, scalability, and efficiency? Is the implementation technically sound?
  • Presentation
    How visually appealing and user-friendly is the project? Is the design intuitive, with a clear and attractive user interface, thoughtful color schemes, and a seamless user experience?
  • Impact
    What is the potential impact of the project? Could it have meaningful applications or scale beyond Hackonomics? Does it offer long-term value in terms of user benefit, business, or societal impact?
  • Innovation
    How unique or creative is the approach to solving the problem? Does the project push boundaries or introduce novel ideas or technologies?
